Firm sells 'world's largest gummy bear'

A US firm has launched what it claims to be the world's largest gummy bear.

The sweet from Vat19 is available in red cherry, blue raspberry and green apple flavours for $29.95 (£18.50), which is equivalent to 1,400 regular-sized bears and provides 12,600 calories of energy.

A YouTube commercial for the product states: "The world's largest gummy bear happens to be 5lbs (2.3kg) of your favourite gummy bear flavour.

"This mammoth beast is 5.5" wide, 3.5" deep and 9" tall. According to our math, that's about as high as a full-grown man - from 30ft away."

It continues: "Like all of the biggest and most awesome things, the world's largest gummy bear is made in the USA.

"You can either hog every mouthwatering morsel for yourself, or give someone the greatest flipping gift ever."

The company also sells a smaller giant gummy bear on a stick for $9.95, which at 4" tall is 88 times larger than a standard bear.
