LINCOLN, Neb. – Police say a 24-year-old man is missing a chunk of his right ear that was bitten off by a woman who didn't like being called "fat." Police spokeswoman Katie Flood said officers were called to a Lincoln hospital around 3:25 a.m. Wednesday to talk to the injured man.
He told them that he'd been bitten at a party.
Flood said officers later learned that the injured man and two others had been arguing with other people at the birthday party. Flood says the man told 21-year-old Anna Godfrey that she was fat.
Officers said Godfrey then tackled the man and took a bite.
Flood said the ear chunk was not found.
Godfrey was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and remained in custody Wednesday. Case records don't yet list her attorney's name.

Man lives for two years on leaves and grass
A Chinese man claims to have survived for two years eating nothing but leaves and grass.
Li Sanju, 50, of Niuwei village, Guangdong province, says he is perfectly happy with his unusual diet.
He says he looks no different to other people in his village - but admits he does smell strongly of grass.
"I watched a TV programme which said a man can live more than 10 days without food but just water, so I thought I would try living on the natural things near my home," he said.
At first, he tried eating grass in a field like cattle - but it tasted bitter and made him ill, reports China News Network.
"I suspect that the field grass has been polluted by pesticides, so I changed to the plants in the mountain behind my house, and I never had any problem," he added.
Initially, he would eat a small portion of rice with his grass and leaves but soon gave up even that.
"I couldn't eat meat now," he said. "Anything greasy would make me sick. Someone bet me 10,000 yuan (£1,000) to eat a piece of pork, but I couldn't do it.
"I used to be known as a sick man in the village, always in hospital, but since I changed my diet, I've never been to see the doctors. Even the tumor on my right foot has disappeared."
The Local Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital said most of the plants were edible and not toxic - but did not recommend Li's diet.

Woman wants surgery to look like Alba
A Chinese woman has revealed plans to undergo plastic surgery to make her look like actress Jessica Alba.The 21-year-old, who has only been identified as Xiaoqing, reportedly plans the cosmetic overhaul in order to win back her ex-boyfriend.
Xiaoqing told the Shanghai Daily: "I have made my decision. I'm not only doing it for my ex-boyfriend, but for myself. I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it."
The girl has claimed that her 28-year-old ex-boyfriend forced her to do her make-up in the same style as Alba and made her wear a blonde wig.
Xiaoqing added: "I love him very much.... that's why I always followed his opinions. I don't want to lose him."

Crocodiles 'taught to recognise their names'
Two British crocodiles have been taught to recognise when a keeper calls their names, The Blue Planet Aquarium.
The reptiles, Paleo and Suchus, have been taught to listen for their names being called, it was claimed.
Keepers at the centre in Ellesmere Port, Merseyside, they are even learning when to open their mouths for food.
They ssaid the type of training had worked with mammals before but hardly ever with reptiles.
"They are very intelligent and started responding to their names in just a few days," said Tom Cornwall, the aquarium's manager.
In a bid to train them, the crocodiles, which are called Cuvier's dwarf caiman, are given food as a prize if they react in the right way.
The training takes its idea from a similar scheme run at the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust in India.
Once fully trained, the aquarium's zoological team will set up "enrichment activities" for the pair.
Mr Cornwall, Blue Planet Aquarium's ranger and exhibits manager, added: "As well as enabling us to approach them and inspect and treat any potential health issues it will also allow us to set up tasks and foraging exercises for them to mimic the types of behaviour they would have to use in the wild."
Found throughout South America, the Cuvier's dwarf caiman usually live in freshwater habitats like rivers, including the Amazon, flooded forests and larger lakes.

Man takes video game character as wife
TOKYO (Reuters) – A Japanese man has married a character in a popular video game, taking her -- and his handheld game console -- on an overseas honeymoon.
The man, who prefers to use his online moniker SAL9000, met character Nene Anegasaki while playing dating simulation game "Love Plus."
They got married a few weeks ago, broadcasting their ceremony live on Japan's version of video-sharing website Youtube.
SAL9000, who did not want to reveal his real name for fear of being misunderstood, admits to be an "otaku," a breed of Japanese youth obsessed with video games, computers and fantasy worlds.
"In the Japanese otaku or nerd culture, there's a tradition of calling characters my wife, and I sort of thought of Nene as my wife. Since I was calling her that, I thought we'd just have to get married then," he told Reuters Television.
"If more people were to find ways of expressing themselves like this, I think it would make society a bit more interesting."
The newlyweds, who went on a honeymoon to Guam, now go on dates around Tokyo, with SAL9000 taking pictures of Nene, installed in his Nintendo DS, in front of famous landmarks and then posting them on social networking sites.
As the game "Love Plus" has voice recognition software, SAL9000 says it's possible to have a sort of conversation with Nene or even play simple games such as rock, paper, scissors.
He also has vowed to have and to hold, for better and for worse, even if another, updated version of the game is released.
"I think I'll probably continue playing Love Plus. I won't cheat," SAL9000 said.
