Making Windows 7 key work harder

The Windows key in Windows 7 has even more functions.

1. Press it together with the left or right arrow key to automatically resize the current window to fully occupy the left or right half of the computer screen.

2. Or press the Windows key and the down arrow to minimize an open window.

3. Press the Windows key together with the up arrow to get the window to fill up the whole screen.

Getting older Windows XP applications to work in Windows 7

Some older Windows XP applications do nto work in Windows 7. To get around this, download and install the Windows XP Mode

This would create a virtual copy of the older software to make XP applications work, but your hardware has to be compatible. You can download a tool found on that page to check if your computer's processor will allow this.
